Target Will Offer Halloween Costumes For Kids With Disabilities For 2019

As Halloween enthusiasts, we all know that our favorite holiday is the most civic-minded and now, we can claim it to be the most inclusive.

Target stores has unveiled a line of Halloween costumes for children with disabilities, which allows them the opportunity to take part in the festivities with costumes that are comfortable, easy to wear and adaptive to kids who are otherwise left behind in brand marketing. Now and in the future, hopefully, it will be optional for parents to scramble to resort to DIY methods of costume creation as other major retailers will take note, and most assuredly follow suit.

Can I get a hoo-rah!?

What’s more, Target knocked it out of the park by going beyond the costume itself, to create ready-made options for the wheelchairs themselves that match the character of the costume. For now, the four costume styles are the princess, pirate, unicorn and shark. Best part? Each costume is under $30, with the wheelchair accessories (sold separately) option pricing around $45.

This all-inclusive approach can be celebrated by all of us as we see Target’s creative Halloween outside the box thinking, bring enthusiasm and joy into the everyday lives of ALL kids who wish to celebrate.

The only horror movie review guides you’ll ever need

Do you  often ponder which horror movie you should watch at Halloween or perhaps on a Friday or Saturday night, only to pop in a trusted movie you’ve seen countless times that you know is good, so that your long awaited horror film watching night doesn’t end in disappointment?

There are hundreds of horror movie review guides. Some are good. Some are not so good. And it’s usually a frightening thought to get horror film advice from mainstream movie critics in your run-of-the-mill movie guide, because many of them are not fans of the horror genre to begin with.

It’s for these reasons you need a trusted horror movie guide. Written by someone who is a horror film historian and fan of the entire genre (from the silent era to the modern era), and will give you a bare bones, no-holes-barred honest critique of hundreds of films they’ve watched because they wanted to watch them, and are passionate about reviewing and discussing them.

“The Big Scary Show” Is Essential For Your Halloween Success! Read This To Find Out Why…

For more than 7 years, it’s been known as the Big Scary Show to the prominent players in the Halloween industry.  A podcast that has listeners from coast-to-coast, that’s both respected and admired.

Briefly, let me say that The Big Scary Show are sponsors, and subscribers of Halloween Living Magazine. But that’s not why I wrote this article. I wrote it as a fan. A fan that became a listener two years ago, and had the good fortune of stumbling passed their booth at the 2019 Transworld Halloween and Attractions Show in St. Louis, where I quickly learned that they are just as gracious and genuine in person as they are “on air.”

Therefore, it begs the question: who is behind The Big Scary Show?

The Halloween Capital of the World is…Anoka Minnesota?

It’s been dubbed the “Halloween Capital of the World.” And why not? Halloween has been a cherished tradition here since 1920, and it’s one of the first cities that pulled the “trick” out of “treat” in an effort to bring the community together in a shared celebration of civic-mindedness. Who would’ve “thunk” that a holiday, which many consider to be “evil,” is actually one that spreads civility?

For a city that boasts only 20,000 residents, it goes ALL OUT with its Halloween celebrations. In the month of October, Anoka hosts haunted houses, scarecrow competitions, costume parties and balls. In addition, there are pet costume contests, and bonfires. The town also holds not 1. Not 2. But 3 Halloween parades: a nighttime parade, a day parade for the kids, and the Grand Parade the Saturday before Halloween. If that weren’t enough, a gigantic blinking pumpkin sits atop city hall that can been seen for miles.
